Reviews and Ratings
When I arrived, the rooms could have been a little cleaner, but overall they were basic yet nice. They were very clean, well-stocked, and well cared for. The service met my expectations with really friendly and helpful staff, though there were some instances of rudeness. The location was suitable for my event near the Jackson Convention Complex, but it felt like a ghost town over the weekend. While the breakfast team was excellent, the reception and concierge team seemed a bit indifferent at times. The dining experience was very disappointing, from the quality of the food to the staff, especially considering my prepaid reservation.
The hotel rooms, while like old rundown motel rooms, surprised me by being very clean, well stocked, and well cared for. My room was quite spacious and had all of the standard amenities, although there were some bathroom problems that needed attention. The service was excellent, with the staff being quick to meet any needs or wants I had and going out of their way to please. In terms of location, it was good being close to the museum, but I might consider an alternate hotel for my next visit to Jackson as it may not be the safest. The dining experience had its issues, as there were difficulties cooking eggs benedict, but the marinated fish dish was outstanding. The facilities were up to standard, though there were concerns about cleanliness, especially considering the summer conditions in Mississippi.
The hotel rooms are definitely overpriced, but after walking around the city, I found the different rooms quite comfortable. The service was not cool when they entered our room with valuables on the desk. However, they recommended a local franchise across the street for dining, and though we had trouble using the card to access guest floors, they asked about our room preferences.
The hotel had a spacious and comfortable room with standard amenities but lacked a modern air conditioner. The service was mixed, with friendly and helpful staff but also encounters with unfriendliness and rudeness. Overall, the facilities provided were decent but not exceptional.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was great, close to the museum and restaurants, meeting my event's expectations at the Jackson Convention Complex and perfect for the Mississippi Book Festival. However, there were some issues with staff availability, as calling for towels never resulted in assistance, and I found myself hesitant about hygiene in some areas of the hotel.
